Words fail!!!

one of my friends here has a silver faced Kenwood tuner with dinosaur stickers all over the front. i almost threw up when i saw it...

I don't like it for myself but I love what it represents- that some young lady was really into records enough to take the time to do that. I've made some pretty hideous art in my day so I can't say much.

I think it looks Cool! Must look great when Light hits those stones, brings me back to the 60's..:scratch2: Does the dust cover work with that? You could mask out the base and fill with liquid epoxy and when it drys , paint over it, or leave with that deep clear glass look.

Thanks,
John.:music::D

Since you mentioned dustcover...Because of that "jewelry" duct cover doesn't close all the way, so to your question - no, it doesn't work as it should. Which is the least of my worries. Probably this table will look great with disco ball?

If she did use superglue there is a de-bonder called Z-7 put out by Pacer Technology of Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730. Probably sold in most Miniatures (Doll House) stores.

I can hear Lady Gaga now....................."Don't be a drag, just be a queen!" :D

Seriously it's not that bad and I'd think it would be worse if you tried to remove them. Just consider it like a moped, fun to ride till you're friend's find out.

"There's no accounting for taste."

It's got style, in my book too much audio gear follows the silver,black, and wood only mold.

Sell it on ebay. As far as anyone knows that's a million bucks worth of the new Pink Magic Pebbles.

That thing might well THRILL some other young lady about the same age as the girl who lovingly glued all those stones on it. I'd look to advertise it somewhere where such potential recipients might see it. Maybe list it on Freecycle, since you seem to want it gone quickly. If no one wants it after a reasonable period, you can always donate it to a charity.

OR... you could remove all the working "guts" and transplant them into a big, nice DIY plinth to use as a turntable, and then have an extra paving stone for the back yard... :D

Heat gun may work. Will try. And by the way you just lost 5 bucks! She mentioned "records - you know, that old round black thingies.."

That's a bit better than the response I got from my 11-year-old grandchild. As I pulled out an album to place on the turntable she looked at me with a puzzled look on her face and asked, "what's that"!?
