Words fail!!!

When I got my first turntable here in US my daughter (who was 12 at that time) yelled: "It's so cool! Where is the remote?" Priceless!
But have to mention that after that (and she is 21 now) she learned how to operate stereos without the remote and she is my best rock-screaming-concert-going buddy (when she's home from college which happens unfortunately not that often).

If you can get it to Boston, I'll take it off your hands, that's kind of awesome. My daughter will love it! Is it Dollars and Sense if it's free?

I just was in Boston a week ago...No plans to go there in the nearest future though.
All your comments (well, not all) made me think of doing something with it.
Something like Envirotex Pour On High Gloss Finish (may be mixed with some color to cover all the jewels). I know it belongs to DIY , not here, but does anyone have any experience with such products?

Strip the system down, build some sort of edging around the cutouts in the case and encase the jewels in about 0.5 inch thick clear fibre glass resin. For greater effect, embed LED's in the resin with some glitter mixed in, and power the LED's from the onboard supply. Groovy...

Not gonna lie, it's an "interesting" piece to look at. She really did take her time and make it look at decent as it could I guess. If I lived a little bit closer I would probably take you up on this TT, just for the hell of it.

Also, this is the first time in a long time that I have read so many funny posts about something like this! :D

PS-I'm in the "I like it" camp...just for the record.

It probably really reflected the light from her color organs, along with the lava lamp. Try playing Saturday Night Fever and see if you change your mind.lol

This should be the start of a new topic- unspeakable things done to poor unsuspecting stereo equipment or somesuch.

Most of the "customized" things bother me but for some strange reason...I like it.

:D

I must have finally snapped.....:screwy:

I kinda like it myself!! LOL. It's different, you got it that way, dig it!!

As long as the TT 'functions fine'...cool. :smoke:

It sure is different. Very origonal. One of a kind!!

It actually looks like a pretty nice job which required artistic talent in balance and geometric pattern placement. It is well thought out. It is a work of art.

And the added weight cuts down on vibration.

Just saved a picture of it!! :>)

I especially like the two rectangular stones placed side by side in the front. Kinda like 'a bit of normal in a world of abstract kaos', nice. It makes a statement, it has inner hidden meaning, balance, and strength.

I like it.

Glue some seashells to it & sell it in Florida...

Great idea!! My brother has an old technics TT which he never uses. And we got 'tons and tons' of small seashells down here!!! A Florida TT!!! Great idea!! :>)
Off to the beach in Sanibel with a bucket for sea shells.

Bet Jimi Hendrix would of said: 'It's groovy!!' Bet Jimi would of loved it!!
