Worst Tv Show

A list of astoundingly bad t.v. shows is never ending! It's amazing what some people find entertaining.

Reality...... Dog the Bounty Hunter, my god these folks are idiots
Talkshow.....The View, Menopause and stupidity
News...... Tie between Keith Olberman and his Lesbian twin Rachel Maddow
Series......CSI Miami, how many douchebag's can you fit on one screen?

Network....NBC
News Network....MSNBC
Cable.....Bravo
"music" channel....MTV
Premium movie channel "Starz"

Family Guy get my vote, It's just plain unwatchable. I think I've only been able to sit through one entire episode of the new season. Though I will admit family guy was ok back when it first aired in 2000 but dear god it needs to end.

There ain't enough bandwidth in the entire Internet to allow one to list them all.

Edward R. Murrow would be so disappointed at how we blew this opportunity to enrich ourselves....

You should try Seth McFarlands Cavalcade of Cartoons.

Here is a good clip:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=woJySMNWuf4

I've seen it and it was hit or miss and I mean more miss that hit. Though their were a few that I got a bit of a kick out of like the ducks watching meet the parents (a movie that I though was over hyped) there were a few others but I'm glad I got it form a friend and didn't actually have to pay for it.

Actually there's more than enough news in the world, they just don't bother covering it because Americans are more interested in the Tiger Woods scandal.

Even if they ignored Woods, there still is not enough meaningful news to fill multiple networks, 24/7. Even when there is a story of significance, the 30 second coverage of it leaves much to be desired...

Survivor.....so friggin stupid.....all scripted out and the stupid American people think that it's not. Especially the way that they have that totally ignorant "Tribal Council" BS. The epitome of American ignorance and gullibility.

My vote goes to VH1 classic. I used to love watching all those classic videos they aired 24/7, even the really cheesy 80s stuff. Now, it's nothing but washed out hair bands, endless AC/DC concerts and crappy movies. Cocktail sucks and has nothing to do with great music. I'm so tired of That Metal Show too. Here's a typical episode: 4 middle aged guys with the debate of the century: who rocks more? Kiss or AC/DC? Who the hell cares, they're both super overrated rock bands. Why would I give a piss about a Behind the Music episode on Bret "STD Bus of Love" Michaels?

Some Things to remember...

Some basic facts...

1. TV is not here to "entertain" nor "educate" it was invented to SELL STUFF. If you get anything out of it other than what toothpaste to try, you're ahead of the game.

2. TV is bread and circus for the MASSES, and as such will seek the lowest level as quickly and as cheaply as possible. In the 50's it was Professional Wrasslin, now it's "Reality" TV. Same as it ever was.

3. TV was/is the largest un-monitored and unregulated "social experiment" in the history of mankind. Parents plopped their kids down in front of it and allowed their children to suckle on this glass teet un supervised for 5 decades now. Who know's where it'll eventually lead.

4. If you search hard enough or pay enough you sometimes find good TV to watch. The Sopranos, HIll Street Blues, The Wire, Mad Men, The World at War, etc... every once in a while you get a diamond, almost by accident.

5. It does have an on and off switch.

Worf

PS the reality shows on VH1 and MTV are THE WORST things I've ever seen. Women and men debasing themselves HAPPILY for money. If I had a daughter and saw her on one of these shows basically being a video prostitute, I'd consider sticking my head or hers in an oven.

As Worf said about selling....just think of shows as time filler between the commercials.

I shoot the stuff for a living. Thankfully never reality- or game shows.
I can assure you I don't have cable:

Dandruffed politicians, accompanied by dumb young hopefuls, getting their 5 mins of Important Statements before my camera.

Lying corporate types telling the polyester-jacketed mid-level lackeys that "you, our people, are the most important thing."

Fat, government-pale time counters who shuffle the hallways in Washington, cracking pathetic jokes to each other about how they are 'the man'.

......I get all the "reality" I can handle on the job.

A good feature film (silent or sound) or a great documentary on DVD is my idea of good viewing. When I see someone like Carson or Burnett, I am reminded of how, even in the wasteland, there were some people with class. Sadly, no more.

Series that I followed:
M.A.S.H.
Twin Peaks
The Sopranos
Mad Men.
