I believe it is Gorilla Glue. That polyurethane glue foams as it cures and turns hard as a rock.

Water will not touch it.

Yeah! And it's a piss-poor adhesive for most uses that it's marketed for. I hate the stuff.

Lol! I've got a pair of JBLs with one woofer repaired with brown caulk. At least they tried to match the color.

Just imagine how gorillas feel about it, and don't start with the duck tape. Ducks hate the stuff, it pulls out feathers.

This stuff is hard as a rock. There's no getting it off. Now that I look closer, it may be spray foam.

I can happily say that after some love and care, and some L-pads to balance out the crappy design, these things sing just as good as my HPM 100's.....
Same cab, 3/4 inch and 1 inch front baffle, just stamped steel drivers but same coil sizes.... I added the L-pads on back, one for high and one for mids.
