Has anyone used or bought something from Yahoo Auction Japan? What was your shipping experience like? Any advise you would offer?

By coincidence I just had a Sansui AU-X1 arrive today. Sent to me from JP by Rinkya (via Yahoo JP).
The amp is horrendously heavy so shipping to new Zealand was $400US. Its a long way to send it and a heavy unit.
I couldn't choose "SAL method" (Sea Air Land) this time around as the amp was too heavy, although this method I have found is generally cheaper and super-quick - ie: 4 days to arrive in NZ from JP
