Yes, if this is what yours looks like too, you can cut and remove the washer indicated by red arrow below using a dremel tool. You can still use it afterwards by squeezing it a bit before putting on. It’ll be more than tight enough.


It‘ll look like this, just close the ring down a bit and reuse. I haven’t had any issues at all doing so.

I reached out to Alps and Richard's on this pot. Still pending. Requested ten of these pots the other day...HY001890. They work in the C-80, C-60, C-40 per the parts list.
Honestly I don't need any of these pots yet, let alone ten of them. Just had some spare time to contribute. My hopes aren't high on getting these. Half the battle is showing up and trying. If I can get them, who needs one? Chime in or gimme a "like" if you want one so I have an idea.

thanks will cross my fingers. In the meantime I have started to disassemble the pot and get it cleaned. The one on the left I have gone over the metal contact parts with a fiber class scratch pen . I also made the dumb mistake of not paying super close attention on how it comes apart sigh. The last section of the pot closet to the knob - it's not clear to me how to get that part open without forcing it

Don’t force anything out.

Looks to me, the two gold tongues sticking out, need to be pressed inward, ever so softly, to remove the white plastic bezel. I have not done this part myself and take no responsibility. I see no other obvious ways. Maybe someone else has direct experience doing this.

I did say ‘ever so softly’. Better stop and use chemicals only at this point or this thing might never work right again. Have ultrasonic cleaners? Could try dropping it in whole for cleaning.

Already put the whole thing in the ultrasonic! The rest came off with some gentle prying. Think it will be ok
