Yamaha CA-2010 possible restoration

I have high sensitivity speakers and with 8 watts they get loud enough so the plan is to always just run it in class A. if it is always in class A the relay wont be doing much of anything, right?
Right. But ! Do you know the prior history of this amplifier ?

Hi everyone, l finally decided to order new main filter caps for the CA-2010. As mentioned previously the originals were still testing within specs but since l did so much other work to it l thought it was best to replace these also.

I just received these, they are 5mm taller than the originals but still should have just enough clearance to the top of cabinet.

Certainly "meaty" caps. Be interested to know if you pick up any changes to sound (not wanting to start that debate)

Hi mbz, thanks for chiming in. Haha, yes that debate, no really l will have to get the CA back into rotation (been using the big CR mostly) so l can re assess the sound prior to installing the new caps. I am very interested in changes (if any) also.

Might not be for a little while as l still have a few on the go atm, including a full restore on a Pioneer SA-9800.
