whats the chance of a remote for my yamaha cd505 working with a yamaha cd555. im looking at buying the 555 but it doesnt have the remote. thanx brad

Quite good, it may not be all fetures that work but all the basics will. As far as I know Yamaha has used the same code for the basic commands since the beginning and up until today.

But you might also keep an eye on that auction site, lots of remotes showing up there.

The remotes are different in some way as Yamaha shows different part numbers for these remotes. You could check with Yamaha first to see if they still have the 555 remote in stock...
