Yamaha MX-2000 $975 BIN. Why is this not in the hands of an AK'er?

I think I would have to build a room around them. I find them stunning to look at and can't keep my eyes off the large VU meters. Gorgeous.

They are some beautiful units, Mrs Caddis was looking over my shoulder and even remarked on how nice they looked, bet they sound even better

That70sguy they are a beautiful pair of Yamaha seperates you got there. Glad to hear everything fell into place and they arrived safely. At some point I have to thin out the herd and probably will part with my second MX-2000 and a CDX-2000. Hate to break up the rest of the Yamaha 2000 system, MX-2000, CX-2000, CDX-2020, TX-2000 and PX-2 turntable. I'm going to try a Threshold amp to see if it unseats the MX-2000, my gut feeling is it's going to be a close call. That's how good these Yamaha 2000 seperates are when it's a toss up with some TOTL Threshold gear from the same time both were mfg.
