Yamaha Ns-2000

Let Theophile play with them first, and then he can write up a glorious review before sending them off to the Yankee AK division... :D

How much for the Pink-Floyd-themed "components" shown in that listing? :D

Based on the sound of their "little brothers", those speakers must sound wonderful, indeed... but shipping, even to Hong Kong, kills it for me, even if the price for the speakers isn't too outrageous. Maybe one day I'll find a pair cheap in one of the wholesale places... [Hey, I can DREAM, can't I? :D ]

The seller makes a good point about revealing speakers requiring very good "upstream" to feed them. Buying these would involve needing to buy better gear for half the potential buyers, and would ruin listening to half or more of all CDs, for almost anyone. Of course, those with high-end (esp. tube/valve) systems and great vinyl collections or good R2R source material would have nothing to worry about, but --as he describes-- if you like rotating amps and gear, then these wouldn't be the speakers to do it with.

Probably cheaper to get a pair of NS-1000 or NS-2000 off of the Yahoo Japan auctions. I swear, the next time I get over there I'm seriously going to look into finding and shipping a pair back. That way I can pack them myself.
