Yamaha is one of the few manufacturers brave enough to publish square wave test results. The PC5002M delivers perfect objective reproduction. If it wasn't so damn heavy, I would have one by now. If it was two monoblocks with massive windshield wiper meters, it would be a classic.

Hmm, interesting. Seems like you can make one nice, clean amp and have a boat load of spares left over.
I'm going to be visiting the parents back east in a month or so. If they'd work on the price a bit my long suffering folks might have a few hundred pounds of amplifier to hang onto for a bit.

Way too much ... half that is way more in line given the huge investment it will take to get them back to spec - if that is even possible.

I wouldn't pay that much for a pair of amps that worked fine but looked that rough.

They are still for sale almost 2 years after the original post?
Guess they really are over priced?
