Yamaha RX-V870 channel imbalance

Now would be a good time to say you have an oscilloscope or can borrow one.

Otherwise you could try an audio probe, need to work out where the signal is getting lost.

I don't believe I have one of those, also I'm not an expert with electronics. The seller has offered me $50 to fix it or a full refund, I'm thinking it might be better to get the refund and get a new amp.. but thank you for all your help so far, I will think about it overnight and see what I think in the morning
