Where’s the gun rack !
Especially the swill, that I`ve observed that the Bubbas like to pound down in NE.FL. !MegaHertz= What your head feels like after 18 beers!
Well, yeah, but an 'ol boy ain't sensitive to such things. Heck, sometimes you see it on a hat, sometimes on a T. It's worn with what could be called a bit of pride. Now that's redneck for sure.Kind of odd seeing a derogatory slur being passed around here on AK..off-putting

It depends on what you mean by "is".You can pick almost anything apart if you try hard enough.![]()
the term redneck was term used for coal miners who wore red bandanas is solidarity protesting bad working conditions, the coal mine owners considered them as trouble makersI don't think the term redneck is as offensive as a racial slur, since it targets a behavior or life style that anyone could have regardless of race. It's sort of like the word nerd, used to denote a person knowledgeable in some particular subject matter. Anyone could be a nerd, just as they could be a redneck. Git 'er done!

I was raised on a farm. Our summers consisted of driving tractors, irrigating, harvesting, and everything in-between. Being a "redneck" was status quo. 98% of my high school classmates (1964 - 1968) were rednecks.People working outdoors doing work such as picking crops often had sunburned necks, giving rise to the term redneck as well.
Redneck was so named due to farmers in the field out in the sun. Their necks got red from sunburn. I'm from Tennessee and can see the humor in this thread. Hold my beer.Kind of odd seeing a derogatory slur being passed around here on AK..off-putting
