I just had a first. Somebody complained that I packed their turntable too well. They wrote: "I don't appreciate the DAMM glue It took me 20 minutes to open it not to mention a strained muscle from pulling the flap. The glue was not needed all you needed to do is just wrap it with bubble pack and tape the box shut ."
I always a heavy box and glue the top and bottom flaps shut to add rigidity to the box so the container can't easily be caved in at any point around it. The last two units I had sent to me had corner damage because the seller only used some bubble wrap and when the box got smashed, so did the corner of the unit.
Most people would have just cut around the top of the box with a utility knife if they coudln't pull the flaps up. Am I overpacking? Most people seem to appreciate the extra effort. I'm sort of taken aback by this response.
