Your Latest Additions (LP)......

I picked up The Police - Greatest Hits 30th Anniversary Half Speed Remastered the other day at a flea market for super cheap. It was still sealed but had water damage under the shrink, so I took a chance on it. Opened it up and besides the inner sleeves sticking to the inside of the cover, the vinyl is mint... which is what I was expecting.

I have been getting so much great vinyl lately and should post here more often. Last week at the local Habitat for Humanity Re-Store It store I bought over 30 great Classical titles (Mostly EMI/HMV and Deutsche Grammophon) for .25 cents each.

Nice pick up there!

Haven't posted in a while even though I've picked up probably 150ish albums since my last post. This is my discount bin haul from two separate stores in St. Louis yesterday.

1. Dune Rats – Real Rare Whale (picked up for the lenticular cover)
2. Hollie Cook – Happy Hour (Why is a Holly Cook album in the discount bin? Possible pressing issues. TBH customers, shops, distros, and labels need recourse from bad pressings IMO pressing plants needs to step up and fix issues)
3. Camp Trash – The Long Way, The Slow Way (I already had this but discogs failed me. At least this version is a different colorway from what I already have)
4. Come – Gently Down The Stream (The pressing on this supposed to be lacking but for 10 bucks I'll take the chance)
5. Can't Swim – Thanks But No Thanks (Can't Swim is one of those bands I always think I have music from but this is my first album from them)
6. Snail Mail – Valentine Demos (I have the Valentine album and figured for 5 bucks the demo version EP would be a nice addition)
7. Sara Kays – Struck By Lightning (highly underrated Sara Kays and the Struck By Lightning album didn't belong in the discount bin)
8. Diet Cig – Do You Wonder About Me? (another underrated girl indie group the album just came out a rough time right after the big C closed everything)
9. Madi Diaz – History Of A Feeling (She's originally from St. Louis I wanted a album of hers for a while)
10. Madi Diaz – Weird Faith (why not two for less than the price of one at MSRP)
11. Bones Brigade Video Tunes – Bones Brigade Video Tunes (I used to have the VHS of the three Bones Brigade skate videos and then the CD version of this compbut they were stolen in a house break in 2018. Released last week, this was the only non-discount album)
12. Marika Hackman – Any Human Friend (She got huge in the indie scene in late 2019 and was poised for a break out 2020 but withered on the vine when her tour was canceled before it started for the pandemic she just released another album this year but Chrysalis can't market their artists out of a paper bag)
13. Palomino Blond – ontheinside (Another female fronted group that doesn't belong in the discount bins but I think their politics get the better of them in terms of mass appeal)
14. Palberta – Palberta5000 (I know nothing of them other than they are Canadian and the album was 5 bucks. Listened to one song so far and it's not bad)
15. Andrew W.K. – God Is Partying (every album from Andrew W.K. is a picture of his life at that moment in time. From Hard Partying to crashing to getting clean to what he is today. One of the best discography examples of my life in song IMO)
16. Jenn Champion – The Blue Album (I've followed her career from her time in Carrisa's Weird, The Blue Album is her covering Weezer originally released by one of the of the month clubs the album is expensive now and this used copy is a bit rough but it's probably the only copy I'll ever find)
17. Hammerbrain / Sewage – Cheap / Love Song (punk 7" it was 50 cents)

I usually use discogs links but with so many albums I didn't want to clutter the post even more. Format is for a differnt forum I'm on where you have to add a little blurb about the album or why you picked it up. I like it, it's a neat little insight into what someone thinks, and will probably use it here from now on.

Record show on the Illinois side of the river Sunday netted a couple things.

Killswitch Engage – The End Of Heartache (This was the killer deal, lowest for sale on discogs was 77 I got this for 17)
Tegan and Sara – So Jealous (BRRSD release I couldn't get day off, paid retail but I got it)
Akina Nakamori – Sand Beige -砂漠へ- ( 7" my first city pop thing)
3-D Monster - Trash Metal Baby (local to me Belleville, IL, 7" is unplayably scratched up but it's cool)

I also picked up a CD rack and two Boglins if anyone remembers those from the late 80s-90s.
