more impressions on the sound...
I was able to listen a bit more last night, and had the wife listen as well. She likes how they sound, but noticed that one was louder vs. the other. Trim the Lpad and that's fixed. 'They seem a bit bright' - so I rotated the speakers out so that instead of toeing in and pointing at me, they are flat to the wall. Wow!! What a huge difference that made! They sound much better that way, and the imaging has really improved. Instead of sounding like 2 speakers, with everything either on the left, the right, or in the middle, it's now spread out between the speakers. All this in a tiny room has typically been too much to ask for from every other speaker I've set up in the workshop. In fact, I've never expected 'imaging' of any sort because of the size of that room. I think I can sell the Small Advents, or at least try to convert them into EWaves! Of course I also now want to build a 2nd set that I can put upstairs into the bookshelves where I currently have Celestion Ditton 22s :thmbsp:
