I sent them a email and well see what happens with it. Im not sure I can communicate with them(hehehehe)but I could use another set with a 1.5 inch throat diameter, Im real curious as to what their price is?

Eventually, maybe...The HF is actually the same as the high efficiency version, but the low freq cutoff is lower with the LE14A crossover. They actually do sound fine like this!
I've got to look into this idea of window screen grill frames :thmbsp:.
Sorry,I did not realize you were using the ewave crossovers for the LE 14.
The screen frames for speaker grilles is an excellent idea.
I have it...it is identical to Pyle but without metal threads.

E'wave measuring system coming together!
My measurment mic came today, now I just have to learn enough about things to know what else to buy. I have already downloaded True RTA and have looked at several others. I just dont know the first thing about pre-mics, phantom power and all that. I am getting some suggestions on the AV forum,
I'm just beginning the learning curve. I dont need mixing and all that, just something simple to let me use this mic with my computer!
Any advice gladly taken!:yes:

Here is my latest econowave creation from a set of Aristocrat cabs. The 12" driver is a Monocor, which proved to be up to the upper end task after the rubber surrounds were swapped out for regular foam types.
The low end from these, when corner loaded, is out right comanding! The overall sound is very good and compare better that my friends Altec 14's.
The Mantaray horn in his are preetty decent, but these have as good if not better dispersion and somehow just sound better with more sparkle and detail using the Selenium TI driver. My low end, when corner loaded, is better than the 14's hands down. When not corner loaded these still dowell- just not the authority they can really have! The bass from these is a very good matchup to the wave guide.
Over all I am well pleased with these, now to start working on the finish. Not to be out done however- I am looking down the road at my next project which should include an Altec 416-8Z woofer (if the top end pans out)! Will be looking into some creative cab work for them.

Tried another Wave guide on Econowave setup
Following along with Augerpro on the AV forum ( "Look what Brandon's cooking" )
on his 2 way "No Quarter" speaker. I aquired the waveguide from QSC, and decided to play a little. I tried DE 250 on it (with standard E'wave HF) and it sounded very nice, obviously need a little adjustment. The biggest suprise was when I tried JBL 2425H with it, again with standard E'wave HF crossover. Now things were sounding better! with the standard JBL waveguide and 2425H, the highs needed more or different compensation, but not true with this waveguide! Seems to lift the JBL higher. I cant wait to measure it, sure it will need tayloring to make it right, of course, but the 2425H sounded right after several hours of play. Best part, this waveguide is only $7.79! I'll be building the "No quarter" in a different thread eventually.

Anyone wishing to try B&C DE 250? If so they are on sale now, as is Selenium
220 ti. The DE 250 is 130 and the 220 ti is 40.80. At least they are a little off.

What about Radian drivers? They use aluminum for the diaphragms with Mylar surrounds, which some consider to be better than the diamond surround Ti diaphragms used by JBL (or Selenium and many others...). However, I read very little about them getting used on AK. Is it cost?
I am using the Radian diaphragm in my JBL 2441s. I think they are much more smooth than the JBL diaphragms.

I have read positive comments about Radian drivers, but have never actually seen or heard them.

I am interested in your waveguide project as my next thing will be to take an ALtec 413-8Z woofer and TRY to include it into a waveguide design. Do you think that the larger waveguide & JBL driver combo (or even the B&C DE250 driver) would load well into that waveguide at 1.2~ 1.4K? That is an upper stretch for the "z" woofer, will have to see how it measures as well.

I'm running per the crossover schem with appropriate component values for the drivers. I have not tried it reversed. I need to do what Russell is doing and get into the measurement thing. My ears get confused with too many choices.

there are FREE options out there. REW is not super techno oriented but it's probably as capable as the what you are looking at. I bought the full version and I'm sort of regretting it now that I can use REW for free. Someone should chime in on the stuff the FRD / Speaker Workshop guys use to design stuff.

Having no measuring equipment presently ( but now curing that) set up to use at this point and dont have the foggiest! For the QSC I used the exact HF network that the econowave uses.....that's what it is, an Econowave, I just stuck the driver/guide combo on top. The Compensation for the Four PI when it used with the JBL2426H is similar to what I am using, (<95 db version HF) but with the L pad wide open. This in no way a substitution for proper crossover design and measurment, but this particular combo sounded very engaging and easy.
Just playing around, I have tried about every combination with Altec 811B & 511B, JBL E'wave, Eminence 290H, This QSC horn, with Altec 802 8 G, JBL 2425H, Selenium 220 Ti, B&C DE 250. The crossover as is is designed for the Selenium and the JBL waveguide, and is not going to be proper for these other combinations. That particular combination will get explored if and when I get a measuring rig up and running.

I've seen REW mentioned several times, and I no doubt will try it, as the price is right, and many seem to really like it.
I'm new to all this measurment stuff and I'm slowly digesting it to where I can
know what I need to get. I can always use other software, Of first importance to me right now is getting the "hardware part" and Im a little confused. Reading The True RTA stuff on the web, it seems it doesnt work well with vista,
or at least it didnt with those using the M-Audio usb mobile unit. I dont know if thats been taken care of or not. Especially right now I am considering a new computer, and need to figure out what I'm going to use and whether it will work with vista, I'm still on the curve. I just want something that works well together and not a bunch of headaches. Similarly,
I want something complex enough I wont quickly outgrow it either. Hard to balance, but slowly I'm getting a feel for what I need to hook the mic to the computer. Also, I'm investigating a new soundcard and the M-Audio mobil unit sounds interesting. Again, all tips appreciated here as I'm in the dark!:yes:

Where it says 2225H and 2226H in the legend under the graph, did you mean 2425H and 2426H? Otherwise, the 2225H has nice upper end! Or do I just have no idea of what the hell I'm looking at?
