I will always remember the smile on the face of Rob Halford, Judas Priest's lead singer, as he sang a duet of "Jolene" with Dolly at the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame Induction ceremony.

RIP Dolly....thank you for not just the music, but your enrichment to the life of millions of people around the world through your philanthropy.

Such a sad piece of News today. Dolly was such a treasure, from funding the Reading program, sponsoring medical programs and just being a warm heart to all.

One of one. She was always upbeat, honest, strong, and focused on the positive -- not with words but with actions. An amazing talent also, there are few voices as unique and effortless as hers. Very funny too -- I remember her saying "It costs a lot to look this cheap" . Very tough and smart also -- she turned down Elvis recording "I Will Always Love You" in 1974 because Tom Parker demanded a 50% of the publishing rights for Elvis to sing it. That decision didn't pay off until almost 2 decades later when Whitney made it the best-selling female single of all time.

She turned down the rock and roll hall of fame nomination and the presidential medal of honor (twice) -- others could learn from her.
