Marantz in the movies

I was watching "High Fidelity" again yesterday afternoon when I noticed the Model 110 tuner featured in Rob's home system. It makes me wonder how many movies have featured our favorite hi fi brand in one way or another.

It's not from a movie, but this is a setup for reviewing music over at the pitchfork offices. I'm not a pitchfork reader or devotee or anything, in fact I'm not all that fond of the review site, tbh, but I saw this photo while looking around the web and figured this would be a good spot to share it... They may not have the best taste in music (at least IMO), but at least they have good taste in audio equipment... :yes:

There are two Marantz receivers in the 1978 movie FM.
one is in "Jeff Dugans" (station manager) bedroom on the beside table, and there is one in his office at the Radio Station, along with many other cool tidbits of late 70's hifi gear......
Im not sure which models they are.....something like 2235's or similar although in the middle instead of the balance fader, there are three switches....Im a Sansui guy.......
I dont have any way of posting pictures of it because I saw the movie at a friends place recently.....
 
I've said it before, but there's a Marantz receiver in the The Office episode "Viewing Party". They even comment on it but claim that it's a "Marantz tube amp from the 70's". It's an 80's model, though. And not a tube variant. :)

No idea what kind of TT, nothing was really mentioned about what components were in the setup, the article was more tongue-in-cheek and I didn't really read it, I just noticed the Marantz. The set up was listed as 'authentic vinyl-playing machine'...
 
You've crossed over the line when you are watching porn and you are more interested in the stereo in the background.
