    Marantz 4140. Hard Clipping/Chirping at near max output, but only in 2x Channel bridge mode.

    I have had this wonderful old amplfiier for around 8 years. I got it completely factory, and somebody shorted out the lamp circuit. Easy fix luckily!! Worked great after clearing the short.     I bought this and the MPX FM tuner and I've seen 50 watts per and 42 watts per but I'd bet it's more like 15-20 anyone know what this thing was rated at? Beyond that it works terrific. I'm sure a recap would give it a bit more punch but it's not bad as it is. The sound quality is pretty average...
