    Pioneer PL-61 help on tone arm dropping too fast.

    Hi, I bought a Pioneer PL 61 turntable for $160. It’s in working condition but it’s not 100%. The tone arm drop too fast than normal when down button on is pressed. Can someone guide me to trouble shoot what’s the issue on cueing and how to check if anti-skate mechanism is work properly? Thanks.

    Problem with pioneer PL-61 45rpm speed control

    When I switch the TT to 45rpm and try to set the speed, it either speeds way up or slows way down even though I’m barely moving the speed control. What could be going on? Any help appreciated, thanks in advance.

    Thorens TD 160 vs. Pioneer PL-61
