    Jansson 4000 speakers, refoam / replace drivers, worth it?

    Dad had these speakers in storage for decades. They are in pretty good condition (cabs have minor scratches, cones and caps show no damage) but the surrounds have completely deteriorated. About the only thing I can find on this manufacturer is in these two threads...

    I have been thinking about picking up a vintage elite pioneer dv ax10 universal cd dvd player, is it worth paying 1000 dollars for a 15 year old unit?What new players are out now for $1000 that can/ would compare to the build and components quality of the AX10 elite player?
