2014 Toyota Corolla ......... Ugly

According to Toyota, the 2014 Corolla adopts the new “Iconic Dynamism” design theme first seen on the latest-generation Avalon sedan. That reflects company President Akio Toyoda’s promise to deliver more passionate products

Darn thing is sooooooooo ugly I first thought that it was so obvious that it was not worth comment! On second thought I will say it again
"that thing is soooooooo ugly"

Remember the 77 Datsun F210? that was ugly also!

Looks alright, though it doesn't stand out in any way, really. It'd say it's so average it's bland...you know, a corolla:D

Does not look too bad. Looks more like a Camry. Of course I would never buy a car with the fancy navigation and touch screen.

It looks like a car, in that class they all look pretty much the same anymore so I don't really care about anything other than how well they work.

IMO, I consider Toyota to make pretty boring, un-inspiring cars. And the Lexus models look just like Toyota -

I think Dodge and some of the european companies are making some stylish wheels -

Never owned a Toyota, hope I never do ....

For the most part I agree, Toyota styling never has done it for me and most Lexus seem bloated. On the other hand if was in the market for a truck, I'd be all over a Tundra and you can bet it would not say TuRD on it. WTF were they thinking anyway?

In a conversation today a fella way beyond my years said of Toyotas "And the real tragedy is that they'll keep running forever".

So I guess it's all about priorities. Maybe not the most inspired drive but if you want something that'll never die....

Especially those older small 1 ton trucks. I know people that keep dropping in new motors and trannies in those over and over.

The Toyota trucks are nice - they have more unique styling than the cars and they are tough as hell.

Whenever I see a Lexus I can't help but think how pissed I would be to have a "premium" brand that looks like the "affordable" Toyotas. Lexus and Toyota get pretty indistinguishable sometimes. I mean if you're going to pay that kind of dough for a car shouldn't it have a unique look?

I've talked to a couple folks who own the Toyota Avalon and in both cases they carry on about how it's only one step down from a Lexus.

Good for them I guess.

Agreed. Toyota and Honda - I had two new Hondas in the past and they were as dependable and trouble free as they get ....

Hondas can actually be quite fun to drive... I wouldn't mind an Acura RSX Type-S (Honda Integra).

See, and that is actually my whole point -

I see much more styling difference between Honda and Acura, Nissan and Infinity - but hardly anything between Toyota and Lexus.

But I guess people don't mind - Toyota/Lexus don't lack for sales.

I like the Acuras a lot - one of the better styled Japanese cars IMO. You can have both style and quality.

Just look up "Ugly" in the dictionary and there's a picture of the Pontiac Aztek.
