2230B balance slider switch question.

Can a balance slider switch from a Marantz 2225 be converted to function in 2230B?

In the past forgetting the models involved due to the passage of time. Took the broken slider out of one model keeping the rest unmolested. Then removed a good slider from a different model. Inserted into the one still in the unit and put back together and it worked fine. They need to be the same length and IIRC there are small parts inside maybe a ball bearing. Not sure just seem to remember it as such.

Did not need to desolder only undo the tabs holding them together. Look at the one and see. .
