6n2 Tube replacement

What tubes did you put in your FX?

I bought a few different pairs of 5654/6AK5 at about $5 a piece average. The Tung Sol and RCA nickel plates are both very detailed in it. The GE is good all around. Mullard, Philips or Sylvania gold brand are excellent.

1. $80 pr of used Fisher branded telefunkens $44 for the EH 6CA7’s.

2. Mullards were $200 pr and are hard to find. Gold Lions were about $100 a pair.

3. NOS RCA grey plates $75 a pair

4. NOS 6N2P-EV were $16 for a pair used Sonotones (clear top) were $35 for the pair. NOS RFT’s $175 a pair

I purchased a quad of Winged "C" for $49.95 buy it now off ebay, and a pair of Mullard for $75.00 dollars but I ordered
them from Spain and still waiting got them.

I did receive the pair of Russian's 6N2 tubes from Viva Tubes matched and they sound
great. I did have a bit of hum from one but I am getting a replacement.

Mine had a hum too, but I cleaned the pins and it went away after a day or so.

I'll try that, if it worked for you. can't tell how long these tubes sat in a warehouse.
