A $10 Thorens TD 145MKII? Yes please.

Or so says my Friend Andy, who snagged this from Goodwill today.

Check out the condition. He says it's in perfect shape.....

*That wouldn't be the Andy from Akron is it? If so, that is an unbelievable score!*

Very pleased for him! He doesn't know much about TTs- only he loves the sound of the records on 'em.

Perhaps the best kind of record player owner.

Great find!!! :thmbsp:

There was one in a thrift store recently.

It had a broken hing and the price was 3 times higher!! :D

Damn - wasn't any of those in the two Goodwill's I went to this week in New Hampshire :-) Must look south of here

I'd call this an exquisite Scroe, Delihaus. Very nice turntable in my opinion. Love Thorens belt drive, 3 point suspended decks. Exceptionally good stock tonearm too. Will make music very well.

I just picked up a TD-165, minus counterweights, for $100. It sounds great as is, and after I replace the simple nylon string and weights, I'll be singing. I have my first Thorens, and I'm finally approaching vinyl nirvana. It already sounds great, I don't want to risk screwing up the Pickering P-07 stylus on the P/AT vintage original cart without the antiskating device. Yipee!
