Thanks, like many others here I have a serious addiction in an area with plentiful supply. That's only about 15% of the collection, as I have records shelved in four other rooms + the basement in the house.
The JBL 4430s are the least placement-fussy and room-fussy speakers that I've heard - it probably has something to do with those constant directivity horns. I know that the room opens up with every piece of furniture that I have removed from the room - so the couch and coffee table are gone. I think I'd benefit from some coverings over the windows, and moving out the shelves - I might have to experiment one of these days, but right now I'm too busy enjoying the music.
