I got a popup today on AK inviting me to install an AK ap. Not that I would use it, but the popup went away and I couldn't find any such ap in the Play Store. Anyone else get this? Try it?

I don't think there is such a thing. Could have been bogus, or worse, malware.
I've seen "Install the App" messages a few times, it tends to happen when you are accessing information on a website via a browser (which has recently had an App made available). If there is an App for the same resource the suggestion to install the App can be quite aggressively presented.
