Received face plates yesterday, (Thanks Dave!) so assembly can begin!:banana::banana::banana: I need to stop by Lowes on the way home to get the pvc pipe for the port, and some fiberglass stuffing. Pics soon.

Good luck with your Indignias too, Shrink. Can't wait to hear how you think they sound.

BTW, I've been using mine in nearfield configuration lately. They sound great to my ears. Anyone else using their Indignias in a nearfield setup?
 
Glad that you are both happy with them. One of you, I believe got one with some masking tape residue still on the surface. If should wipe right off with some mild solvent.

That would be me, and it wiped right off with a little 409. Thanks again, I'm going home early today to try to finish, have a fund raiser this eve so may not be done before tomorrow, but I'll try!:D

Ok, I have all the tid-bits I need for assembly, but I have noticed that the 1 1/2 inch PVC I got from Lowe's is a little too big to just fit in the hole. What's th fastest way to open it up just a little? May be a little much material to just slowly sand, but maybe not? What's everybody else doing, or did I just get some pvc that's just a little larger than most?

The PVC I've used is a hair bigger than the 1.875" hole cut for it. I've opened up by hand sanding and with a Dremel + sanding drum. The Dremel is faster but you have to be a lot more careful. Doing it by hand really didn't take that long.

Zilch and Becker, yours were opened up by me to fit the PVC I had in hand (schedule 40). I had to do that to get the through hole right.

I had about 4 different pieces of PVC scrap. 1 fit in perfectly, one would go in with some effort, and 2 were too large. I ended up sanding them by hand for 5-6 minutes and they slid right in.
 
i sanded the pvc rather than the wood because i found it to be more manageable. The wood may have been quicker, I didn't try it.
 
Go around with a drum sander bit in your cordless, 'round and 'round 'til it fits.... :yes:

Yes, I found the same thing. Just folder up a piece of sand paper and went to town a few minutes, and they are fine.

Crossover hookups to both drivers are in phase, right? Crossover schematic I have doesnt show polarity of the hookups, so I assume in phase?:scratch2:

Thanks, I dont think I remember anything about phase of hookups, but may have missed it. I'm looking also.

Well crap. I guess I was a little tired at Lowe's last night. somehow I ended up with 3 pieces of pvc 45 degree angles with male/female, and only one female/female.:dammit::withstpd::beerchug:
