I have one I got mint for 1.95. Great album. I think I'll play it now! Beautiful Turntable! I'd love to have a Lab 400!

Thanks! I just had it serviced, and now it runs like a champ. Cosmetically its rated about a 9 1/2 out of 10. What kind of turntable do you own?
 
I love getting these "oh yeah, I forgot about that one" moments! I bought mine new in 1981 and bet I had not listened to it in 25 years. Just fixed that problem!

This is a great "check out your cartridge" album - I am rotating four different ones in and out right now on Side 1 :music:

Yeah, i agree, its a great sounding album! Im using a Pickering Micro IV for my LAB-400, and a Pickering XV 15 for my Yamaha YP-D6.

Man, its like they are playing in the room! You can hear things on this that would blow your mind. Its totally amazing. I need more half speed recordings, thats for sure. lol
 
My copy arrived from Japan yesterday! Amazing.

I will play it today, it is in mint condition, cover also!

My favorite Al Di Meola recording is 'Rite of Strings' with Jean-Luc Ponty and Stan Clarke. Great recording, very life like imaging. Also pretty damn good music! I'll have to pick up the live recording mentioned above, haven't heard it yet.
 
Have you heard Al Dimeola-Elegant Gypsy? Awesome album also, i think it has a few of your listed players on it, since its a studio effort. I picked up a still sealed copy from Long Island Sound a few years ago for .99 cents..all I can say is wow.

I have the both the Elegant Gypsy and Friday Night in San Francisco and I would put them both in the must have category. Both given to me by AKer's. :music:
