The only unusual record jacket i have is my first pressing copy of Dimmu Borgir's Death Cult Armageddon.On the first pressing copies the art work in the center of the picture is a die-cut pentagran that pulls out of the jacket and can be used as a poster.The lyrics are also printed on the inside of the pull out peice of the jacket.

The original (U.K.) issue of Patto's Hold Your Fire had a fold-out picture sleeve drawn by Roger Dean and based upon the board game 'Consequences', had three front sections that folded out separately, for a total of eight cover image variations.

The initial (limited) run of 500 vinyl LPs each received a unique, handmade cover, variously decorated by band members, friends, and family using such methods as silkscreen, oil paint, water color, collage, and the attachment of "found" objects to generic white sleeves. I have quite a few records that have odd covers. Lots of silk screened covers and a few die cut ones here and there. I think that's the perk of buying plenty of hardcore/punk records, because a lot of individual care gets put into the output.
Most recently though, I picked up a double LP copy of Watain's 'Lawless Darkness', and I'm in love with the layout.

It has a die cut cover that unfolds into the Hawk in the second picture.

Flimsy laminate "sleeve" over the jacket intended to be slid back and forth to give the inside gatefold a "psychedelic" effect. Great album, btw.
