antipodean audio

I noted somewhere that you have a Denon DL304, I had one many moons ago and very was disappointed after reading good things although I really cant remember too much about it now. As long as you find it a good performer thats what counts. Seeing some pieces work in other peoples systems is one of the things that makes this hobby a joy.

Mine's a mere 301mk2. 304 looks like an upgrade from it!

Cartridge upgrade has been one thing on my mind.
Well there are those speakers I haven't tried, too.
Hang on I've been meaning to roll some tubes....
Wait I really want to try some $1k+ range DACs.
Ok I'll stop here....:D

Really not much to look at, so there's no photo. But I've finally got an RCM being KAB EV-1 with a brand new vacuum cleaner. This is great. Now my vinyl rig is complete for the time being.

How has the rcm held up? Starting to look for one soon...

Held up very good.
Can't think of not having one anymore, as was suspected.
Highly recommended.

I'd love to hear your Creek :D

I've reverted back to the Rogers + Redgum combo. I've been thinking of perhaps selling the Rogers in near future since I've made some tube purchase but I'm not sure. This is a really nice musical combo.

My ear is accustomed to the SET sound. But still, the Redgum holds up impressively. Some would definitely prefer the Redgum to the SET. I like both really. I guess I like the aesthetics (both physically and conceptually) of the SET more, but the Redgum is about the most musical SS amp I've ever heard in its range.

First time I've had a peak at the goods, David. Man, fantastic stuff! Bravo!

Thanks mate. With your kind help hopefully I can also do some acoustic treatment eventually :thmbsp:

Its great seeing the progression of the system. I wish I had pictures from the begining

Thanks, but I lost most of the pics in the earlier stage too.

Lots of new speakers recently. Have the AR's been put to pasture?

They're still in my bed room and are going nowhere. But my mum has an eye on them and I might have to let them go at some stage :D

That's an integrated amp. The ignition key is meant to be for power on/off. But mine has a remote control installed laterally so the key is pretty much for aesthetic purposes only :)
