Just out of curiosity, does the movement I'm seeing in my tonearms (in the videos) seem normal to you?
Have you tried dropping your arm in the deadwax area (non-groove)?

I tried changing the A/S setting, and it makes a HUGE difference! Just a little too little, and the arm flies into the spindle. But, I don't want the arm to have too much A/S, as that isn't good either.

Thanks for posting this! Soundsmith says the rate should be somewhat slow, but doesn't show a video of what " somewhat slow " is.Oh, OK. I guess that seems a little fast but not unexpectedly so. I might adjust it so it's a little slower but not a lot.
I haven't really checked mine out that way in a long time because I adjust it using CD-4 records where it is more critical to have anti-skating perfect so distortion doesn't occur in either channel.
With my BIC tables, I need to have anti-skate set to about 70 -75% of tracking force, referencing the values on the scales, of course, not actual forces.
