Any audio-related points of interest in Orlando, FL?

I will be driving down to Florida on the 13th and am wondering if there are any good record stores, stereo shops or anything audio related in the Orlando/Kissimmee area.

Thanks in advance!

not sure about audio related stuff but Don Garlits Drag Racing Museum is right up the road in Ocala and it is definatly worth checking out!

Uh-oh, here comes another Snowbird

Orlando has a Wal-mart, Target, Best Buy, and that's about it. There are no record stores at all, only websites you can download MP3 files from.

Just joking :D. Actually I don't know since I avoid Orlando whenever possible. The traffic is insane! But it's become a pretty large city and I'd wager you can find anything you want in the audio world. Why don't you just Google what you're looking for.

I'm thinking Centralflori will chime in soon, if he hasn't already.

Have a great stay! Spend lots of money and leave nothing but footprints. Please, don't mind the ribbing, just having a bit of fun.

No there is nothing audio related here............................I wish I was kidding and maybe there are a couple of stores, but none that come to mind for nice high end gear.:tears:

Rock and Roll Heaven is a record store just off I-4. They have a website for exact directions. Forget their ads for $1 records. I have found they have a very good selection and reasonable prices.

Best

Skycraft is definitely worth the drive.

Dedicate a couple hours for diligent perusing.

After one visit I had to hit Wal-Mart for a cheap suitcase to bring home what I bought.

I second Rock and Roll Heaven. It's on Orange Ave near downtown Orlando. Cool and good sized record shop that's been around for a long time. If you are looking for a cold beer try Casey's on Central Ave in downtown. If you see Casey, tell him George sent you!

Nothing down here in SW Fla (maybe something in Naples, but I'm sure not much). All we got down here is aligators and a beat up beach scene. Everyone goes to Best Buy to buy their 5.1 system. I don't even know anyone down here with a 'good' stereo system. Unbelievable.

Thank's for the heads up on 'Rock and Roll Heaven'. I'll check it out next time I'm in Orlando.

Disney just got done with the 2 yr upgrade of the "It's a Small World" Ride. You'd probably rather buy a Lloyd's all in one with a BSR TT on it, and ruin a GW trash LP, tho.:D
