Any cat lovers here?

I currently have four of these IPettie 'Tritone' fountain bowls, and my lot seem to love them.

Bought the first one in 2019, another in 2020 when the first of the Egyptians came, then another in 2024 and a final one this past fall. I clean the coarse filters about three times a month, and change the carbon filter along with a thorough scrubbing monthly. The foam filters get cleaned, and eventually replaced when they get grungy. So far I've replaced one pump (probably shouldn't have said that as they'll now probably start failing...)

They weren't cheap at about $60/ea, but have been reliable and the kids seem to like them.

Edit to add Marconi getting his chin wet:

I don't know the internal setup of the pump but in mine the filter element housing holds several times the abount of raw carbon than comes in the cartridges. The since the water has no place to go but through the carbon the carbon crystals filters out any bits of whatever and also purifies the water and keeps it bacteria free. I replace the carbon once a month.

I found this but I won't take it because my cats family is used to cold water twice a day and the fountain doesn't cool the water. However, it remains in the plan, maybe to see how they play with the water jet, I'm still thinking about it.
You could always freeze some water in a couple of 1-qt. ziplock bags and plae them in the reservoir. That might keep it chilled enough for your crew. The frozen water in bags would last longer than just dropping ice cubes into the tank. See my posts above for improving the filter so it actually filters.

"Widlar" -
I've been going with electronics related names recently.
Here's Schottky, his partner in crime (both joined the clowder as kittens last June & July):

And Marconi, who came over from Egypt in the beginning of February 2025:

And finally, Faraday:

and Nixie, both of whom came from Egypt in September of 2020:

The other four have more 'normal' cat names - Piglet, Pixel, Beaker and Ghost.

Was in Petsmart the other day and - hadda get this for Raffi ...
If you are of a certain age, you know the stuffy!
Raffi was suspicious at first, but with encouragement,
has been getting closer and making friends ...

Not jealous like when she saw the red fox stuffy last year ... and growled!
