any info on the JBL 62's

picked up these little jbl 62's at GW for $5.00
surrounds are great, but one is missing a tweeter:tears:
i was thinking of using the drivers in another cabinet
with BA tweeters
will this setup work?

i hooked the one speaker with the tweeter to my amp
and damn, it sounds very good
so far, this is the best sounding speaker i ever had
but i can't tell if the tweeter is working
how can i test the tweeter?

If you have a volt meter perform an ohm test. Look at the link I sent you and you will see the rated impedance of the tweeter. If it is 0 the voice coil might be shot. If you can open the tweeter up the leads from the connectors to the voice coil might be brokwn and an attempt to slavage it could be made. Enjoy!

Listen to the tweet through a tube, like a paper towel tube. You'll hear it if it's working.

now i just have to find a matching tweeter for the other speaker
