Anybody know what these are?

Bringing up a old thread here. I have a opportunity to get this model. It is a single 15" model with a DH2A. I will be using with my home audio system, not as theater speakers. I have a large room as well. Opinions? I noticed the cabinets have no fill and no port tubes. They just have port holes.

Here is the crossover. To be honest I'm not sure of the answer to that. I'm thinking it crosses at 800 from the research I've done.

Yes I'm reading up on the crossover now. From my research there should be a jumper between 8-9. Currently there is no jumper. My question is will these make good audio speakers. If so I'll pull the trigger on them.

Yes it does. Now that I'm understanding your question. The curve is a flat from 1k to 5k then rolls up.

Pro drivers and compression drivers are used in high end audio all the time. They may be in fancy cabins but the high quality is a boon. Maybe replace the caps and drive them with good amps and I think you will be very happy.

HP-9840 according to seller description. I can't find any info on that number.

Yes from my research but limited knowledge. My guess was 940 not 9840.
I have found 2 versions of the speakers online. 1 version has a horn the same width as the cabinet. The other has horn wider than the cabinet similar to this set. Honestly I have the guy at 325 bucks and I feel like if they audition well they will be worth the money.
