Anybody know what these are??

There is a set of these for sale locally. The seller doesn’t know the brand, just knows that the model # is 2235.
Anybody recognize these?

Looks like there is a hole in the surround of the woofer.....they look good but, I think, nothing special....

I think they might be made by Ultralinear, but that's about all of the information I can give.

I do not know what they are, but the thickness of the cabinets, as seen from the back, bodes well for a reasonable level of quality, as do the (appear to be) dome midrange drivers. I would suggest that they might be worth a listen, and at the price listed, might be worth parting out for the midranges alone, but it's always a gamble. Sorry, just don't recognize them.

i would give them a listen. if they arent to much then i might get them and who knows, the drivers could be something special :yes:

The woofers don't look like anything special that I recognize. Not sure about the mids and tweets either. Based on the pictures, I would have passed myself, but I suppose anything's possible. And that one woofer surround looks like it has an issue anyway (and the other is probably on it's way out as well if the first one is bad).

Well... from what i can see... just the cabinets alone are probably worth that - IF you're in to replacing drivers and that sort of thing. Me personally - I'd grab them and start a little DIY speaker project.

I have a pair of MCS speakers that used the same driver compliment idea. They had a 12" woofer, with a large magnet I wasnt expecting, a 2" dome mid, and a tiny cone tweeter, exactly the same as yours, just different parts. Decent crossovers too.

Who knows? They might turn out to be something like my MCS. The dome mid was what got me to take them.

Decided to pass, if I knew for sure they were decent I would grab them, but not enough room around here for something that would take me forever to get around to recycling if it didn't pan out.

The mid looks like the cheap plastic covered junk...if the woofer has a hole and rotting....cheap vinyl box....AT $30.00....STAY AWAY....KEEP LOOKING.....YOU'LL FIND SOMETHING BETTER....don't waste your time on inferior junk!!!!
