EV Speakers - Anybody want to take a guess?

These are for sale locally - Woofers have been replaced but the originals are available. Vendor doesn't know what model they are and neither do I!
Sooooooooo - anybody care to take a stab at it?

The only driver that looks like it could be EV is the woofer. The rest look like CTS.
Never seen those before but aren't those Sentry cabinets???

Does indeed remind one of a Sentry cabinet.

Drivers look to be CTS indeed.

I am reminded of the late 1970s "Synergistics" line of speakers - although I recall none exactly like this one. HH Scott's speakers also used CTS (and later also Philips) drivers... none that I've seen were quite as grandiose as this, though

Not Electro Voice. Sentry yes, but no relation to EV. Those have been posted here previously. Probably nice speakers, though. Very nice boxes!

Perhaps they were infected with inferior parts by the Bose speakers they've been keeping company with.

Not many of those parts looked much like anything 'EV' to me either - and those Bose 501s he has are also up for sale - a mere $150cdn!
Agreed that the cabinets look somewhat familiar but those drivers have me baffled (no pun intended)

You're thinking of the AR-LST (top in the photo below).

That is kind of close! Not, by any means, exact but there's a definite similarity!

There was a pair for sale locally. Trust me, these are not AR's, by any stretch of the imagination.

The vendor just called me and we had a chat for a bit. Apparently there's more than a bit wrong with them - He mentioned a non-working tweet, he's painted them. He did say the old woofers had square magnets - which might make them CTS.
He said that if he gets a chance he'll get me some more pictures. He's as interested in finding out what they are as I am.

Due to the blue-ish color of the midrange cones I'd guess they were sourced from Jensen rather than CTS, unlike the phenolic ring tweeters and original woofers. CTS mid and full range drivers in the 4.5 to 5 inch cone size range usually had gray colored cones, with Jensen using a more blue-green colored paper in some of their sealed back midrange drivers.

I remember the recent discussion of another such "Sentry" brand speaker and still think they should have mounted two of the midrange drivers on the front panel had there been room for them!
