I have a pair of AudioQuest which were, essentially, the Minimus 7s. I bought them in the late 80's to use in the back of a sports car I had where I couldn't hear the stereo with the top down. I used them with a mini JVC *Executive* system in later years and they were fine with that. They were quite the speaker in their day but as an earlier poster mentioned, speakers like the NHT SuperZeros are so much better for a slightly larger footprint.
