Hi all,
Hoping for some help with my Aux 911DG. I usually use this system for listening to CDs, and I'm using a TOSLINK interconnect from the Digital out on the CDP ( Marantz CD63 S.E. K.I.) to the Optical in on the Amp. The input is set to "Digital Direct" and the Amp is running a pair of Sansui EX series speakers. So far, so good. The Sound this combination puts out is absolute ear candy.
However, last night I decided to listen to some vinyl, and was shocked to find that as soon as I turned off the Digital Direct, no other source would work. when I select Phono (or any other analogue source) the indicator will light for a few seconds and then go off. I opened it up and applied Deoxit, but even with the faceplate removed, it was pretty hard to get to the pots, and I really didn't want to take it apart too much in case I damaged something. Anyway I reassembled it, but its still the same. Would anyone know if it might be the source selector belt? Or, I would be glad of any other suggestions. I'm hoping JOMARK911 will see this, as I know he has three 911s, and is very knowledgeable on this particular Amp.

. I'll take lots of photos when I'm doing it and label all the screws and parts. would it be a good idea to discharge the Capacitors? and what's the best way to do that? Thanks again John.
