Bands With One Good Song

Well if that's the good song by mwoh, I sure don't care to hear other songs by them! :nono:

I'm not saying it is my collection. Not a chance, but it was their only big song. ACDC had a lot more tunes than "Big Balls" like you posted and I'm not a fan of their music either. :D

My understanding of the OP was to post the only song you like by a given artist. BB is the only acdc tune I like, Run Away is the only Bon Jovi tune I like, etc. "Good" is a matter of opinion. Safety Dance does nothing for me....except help me vomit when sick. :D

I just re-read the original post. Your right, I'm sorry. I was reading all of these and thinking of one hit wonder's and such.

Safety Dance does suck! :D :thmbsp:

No apology necessary. I didn't start this thread and roaming way off topic, responding differently than intended, etc. happens all the time. It doesn't seem that anyone gets in a twist over it. :music:

a while back I was streaming alt rock and heard 'One Man Army' by Our Lady Peace. got the album; all the other music was just noise to me.

ditto 'I will Possess your Heart', Death Cab for Cutie, album 'Narrow Stairs'. Meh.

long ago, late on MTV on night, I saw/heard 'Cellophane' by That Petrol Emotion. They have several albums so apparently they have a following but nothing I've heard from them interests me.

I've pretty much given up on buying albums if I can't hear samples. Good thing Amazon / youtube allows that.

note; those of you that don't like 'Safety Dance' by MwoH probably won't like Pop Goes the World either, which got some airtime. (I think I saw it on Dr. Demento)

Better than Ezra - Good

Spacehog - In the Meantime

Poison - Every Rose has its Thorn

Ratt - Round and Round (okay so maybe not even one good song)

Kim Carnes - Betty Davis Eyes

I'd have a much easier time doing the opposite ("bands that are widely considered to have one good song and you agree, until you hear more of their work")...

Recently, someone introduced me to a song by a group known as Ween. The song itself is pretty naughty and I'm not sure what attracted me to it, other than perhaps being "broadsided" by the shock value.

I've listened to their other tracks via iTunes and none of them do much for me, or even seem to be in the same league as the melodiously named Piss Up A Rope.

War- Low Rider
The Archie's - Sugar Sugar
Art Garfunkel - Bright eyes
The Commodores - Oh No
Church - Under the Milky Way

Moving Pictures. Their song "What About Me" was a minor hit in 1986 or 1987.
