Best speaker score under $100

So many but I found these JBL L100's on CL many years ago for $50 in mint condition. They work well in my drum/media room powered by a Sansui 9090db.

ADS 400 book shelf speakers- free.
Back in ‘89 or so, my little brother worked at dept store called Bullocks that was remodeling their “youth” clothing dept. The section had eight ADS 400’s playing hip music of the day and they threw’em in the dumpster.
My bro showed me a pair and asked “ are these any good? I found them in the garbage”
I coughed “ uh, yeah!”
He got the other six out.
 
I've found two pairs of Rogers LS3/5A over the years. I think I paid fifty bucks each pair. Kept one pair, which I still have, and sold the other on Ebay to someone overseas.

Before we left seattle I ended up with not one but two pairs of Bose 301's for $30 each pair, from separate sales. I ended up giving them to friends.

I snagged a pair of Spendor SP1s with the dedicated stands for $40 at a consignment store about 20 years ago. I almost didn't see them buried in a big group of old furniture. Hitting the garage sales that summer I found a pair of L112s for $75 that needed re-foamed and then a pair of very well used L100s the next weekend. Then I picked up a pair of B&O 5700s for $20 at another garage sale - just needed the woofer dustcaps repaired. Then I scored a pair of A25s for less than $5 at Goodwill. Drug home 2 pairs of Large Advents along the way and some little EPIs. Rescued a pair of AR 2AXs that were set out for the trash one morning while on my way to work. Those ARs were covered (poorly) with the ugliest old vinyl shelf liner, so they became my shop speakers. That was a really good year. Found quite a few vintage receivers, amps, & turntables too.

OK...yes. Like quite few others here, I'm a bit of a hifi hoarder. :)

I gave those A25s to a friend who was doing some home recording with his band about 10 years ago. I asked him about them last year and he said he was pretty sure they had pitched them at some point. :(
