Best splicing block? (or which one to avoid)

Hello. I need to buy a 1/4" splicing block/tool, but wanted to know from your experience if all work the same, of if you have tried some better than others, or some model that is not that good.

I also have the cutter on a B77 front plate. That is handy too!!!

I like Editall splicing blocks, the studio standard for many years.

Man, the last splicing block I bought was from 1981. Haven't worn it out, though it's got a lot of miles on it. Was always careful about holding the blade vertical so as not to widen out the slot... but it did get deeper over time. I was going to post a link to where it came from, but there are no markings on the block, and the supplier is long gone.

Reminder to demag those razor blades, folks...

I use the one that came with the Revox Machines. Got it on ebay many years ago. It works perfectly.

I have THAT ONE - but w/ just 2 angles - 90 &45 ! Still in the box (sort of)...

Thanks. Seems most of the you use the aluminum block. I'll try to get one locally, or make a 3D print.
