Bozak concert grand crossovers

Did you end up upgrading your crossover? I've been thinking of just redoing the capacitors in mine.

I can still recall drooling over Concert Grands in 1971 at the San Mateo HiFi where Mac, Bozak, and Klipsch were top dogs in the "premium" sound room.

Pat Tobins 104T is for the Bozak B302A. Not for the Symphony, or the CG’s.

You replace all the caps for sure as a start. Then find your self some Morel tweeters to add to the speaker with apropriate caps for 10,000 HZ. The HF of the 200 Y should be rolling off by then anyway. So look at the impedance curve of the driver you buy from Parts Express and then calculate the correct cap. The Morel driver should have a sensitivity around 94 or 95 db 1 watt. I have heard tobin mods. They just suppress the mids and lower highs to make you think you are getting better highs. Another option is a parametric Equalizer with a control set at 16 KHZ about 1/2 to 2/3's of an octave wide if you are being conservative. Just boost the control 6 to 8 db and you should be good to go. I prefer adding the extra tweeters to my Grands, which I did in the early 70's.
