Bozak Question

Can anyone identify these 8 ohm Bozak for me?

They sound very good with the primitive system I have in one of my listening zones, Harmon Kardon AVR 20 II with an 80's chepie Kenwood turntable.

I didn't pay anything for them yet.

Only marking are the name plate lower left on fabric, and speaker connections are the screw type.

They look like Symphonies to me.

I have the Concerto Grosso's which are wider and lower than those, and have two 12" woofers with 4 tweeters.

They're Rudy-era Bozaks, it looks like. Maybe late '60's or early '70's at the most, I would think. Can't remember the model, but I've seen them before. That concentric-style tweeter was used on a lot of good Bozak models (including the E-305, I believe) and is classic Rudy-era. Those should sound quite-nice with some refurbing. Also, you're gonna' want to experiment with positioning/placement. With that configuration, they might do well on their sides or at least off the floor quite a bit.

Hopefully someone will chime in with the name. For power, I would try something early-solid-state (An early to mid '70's Sherwood should do nicely, as would early '70's Sansui or Sony). You want something musical-sounding to open them up, and tubelike early-solid-state models are good at this.

the drivers should have some ID'ing tags on them; not specific to the speaker model number, but you can gather manufacture dates from the codes. You'll need to get the drivers out, or gain access through a back panel.

Thanks for the help, no back panel on these guys. I hear something rattling around in the cabinet when moved in one unit, will need to get in there and look around.
A full rich sound with these guys so far.
