Good luck with this endeavor. Awaiting the re-opening!

Very Nice , CongratulationsHi all,
I just wanted to clarify since I’ve seen a few questions come up—Brent has officially retired, but Audiotubes.com has not disappeared. I’ve acquired the business and am currently in the process of transitioning everything over.
I’ve been in the tube business for over 25 years and have known Brent for just as long, so my goal is to continue what he built while getting things back up and running as smoothly as possible.
I’m still in the middle of moving inventory and setting things up, so orders aren’t quite open yet—but they will be soon.
Appreciate everyone’s patience during the transition.
Thanks,
Jon Oas

please tell us a little something.
where and what have you been doing in the tube business?
how did you come to purchase brent's business?
oh, interesting... then weve spoken over the phone a coupla times. vacuumtubes.com long time owner sold off his stock at least a year or two ago.a quick google search shows that he owns: Vacuum Tubes, Electron Tubes, Tubes, Tube Testers and Electronic Parts
but that site appears it may have been bought out at as well.
I think its around 2,000 a year reading thisMaybe before he starts promoting his business and ringing the bells as a business and posting here on AK isn't the mode of operation that business have a special tag to put under their avatar showing they are a business. I think there is a fee, but it is small, like us members becoming subscriber's, I think it is sponsor badge. I remember member 427 had one and I know another member here the gentleman that manufactures phono amps in Europe. He is a great asset as well he always seems to have accurate info regarding phono loading and SUT's. Anyhow just didn't want him to met the wrath of a moderator.
Well they can't expect any one to just jump on board, probably a good many buisness don't even know about a thread like this. I requires a bit of boot kicking and sales teams to not only expose it to vendors, promote it and then in the various threads have some kind of header or something reminding the members here about it. And it takes the right person to read their crowd, you don't want to over burden people with sales pitches, but once and a while a informative nudge about oh I saw that product, or there are a number of products that might apply over in the vendor thread. Seems like barter town is popular, and I personally am constantly looking for sources for parts and member here let me know where to look.FYI
This forum is pretty dead at the moment

Not saying its a bad deal. But its not doable for my business. Which is a shame.
