Broken headshell lead. What can i do?

I was changing my cartridge and as I was pulling out the wires, one broke. I'm at a loss and so upset. Is this repairable? Can someone point me in the right direction? Its a Sansui SR 929 headshell

It is repairable. If you can solder it could be fixed quickly that way, otherwise there are headshell/cartridge lead kits available for you to just replace the damaged wire.

No, friend. You're not. I've done it several times myself. Thankfully it's an easy repair.

Thanks again. One more quick question.....does it matter which set of leads i get? or are they all basically the same?

Some people prefer exotic wire and say they can hear a difference. It is an area that I haven't experimented with and I've been quite content with the economical ones like those in Balifly's link above.

Don't need nothing fancy. When you find the ones you like I would buy a couple of sets. Just because.

He also has good prices on complete headshells and replacement styli (needles) so you should look around the site as you might need some other stuff.

Thanks everyone. I ordered AudioQuest HL-5 Tonearm Headshell Leads since I was a prime member.

Now I have to wait but at least I can clean on my new Okki Nokki while I wait
