C-80 setup

just purchased C-80 pre amp ,I have two Carver A-220 amps and four new Tannoy xt8 f . Not sure on the correct hookup with the two sets of pre- outs ,one normal and the invert . Please Help !

1.Are the two Carver amplifiers " common ground " ?
2. What impedance are the Tannoy's ?

Yes and the tannoys are 8ohms

Running the Carvers in mono the Tannoys would need to be wired in series.
Running the Carvers in stereo. One normal and one inverted to each amplifier. ie. L -- normal , R--inverted to one Carver and L-- inverted , R--normal to the other Carver. On the speakers which ever channel is inverted would need the speaker connection reversed + to - . and - to +.

If running each Carver in stereo.. Make damn sure the switch on the rear panel of the amplifiers is in stereo position.

Thats a good thing. How does the Yamaha/Carver and Tannoys sound?

It brings a big smile to my face, the Tannoys sound so damn good, they were worth the money I have old set that I wanted to use for a different part of my house so I did the new ones for the this setup

Well ,I thought everything was fine until I tried my balance control ,left side is out ,I tried cables even thought maybe one of my amps were bad so I think I need a Yamaha repair facility. Any recommendations ?
