Good advice in this thread so far, but this comment from your first post caught my eye. How do you have your two amps setup? Are they bridged using the inverted pre-outs on the C-80? Or are they both just used in stereo, powering different pairs of speakers?
To what extent, if any, do you utilize the inverted pre-outs on the C-80?
The inverted pre-outs allow for many different possibilities, but that all has the potential to dramatically complicate things if you wanted to try to put the subwoofer (or any DSP) between the preamp and the amps. In my case for example, I use my C-80 to power 6 Yamaha amps at the same time; 4 bridged, hooked up like in the first picture, and 2 in stereo using the configuration shown in the second picture. Very handy, but it basically prevents me from being able to use a MiniDSP or similar.
